Are you an experienced recruiter who enjoys variety, building strong candidate relationships, and keeping recruiting organized and moving? At Alluvionic, you’ll support hiring across our commercial, government, and corporate teams, giving you exposure to a wide range of recruiting needs and opportunities to help improve how we work.

Alluvionic is a woman-owned, 8(a) certified solutions provider specializing in project management, process improvement, product development, cybersecurity, and training services. We provide Project Assurance® for every project and are looking for a recruiter who can help us continue building strong teams as we grow.

Position Summary

Alluvionic is seeking an experienced Recruiter to own full lifecycle recruiting across our Commercial, Government Services, Technology, and Corporate business areas.

Our recruiting needs vary across the organization and may include full-time employees, government contract positions, proposal and contingent recruiting, and independent 1099 consultants supporting commercial projects. The ideal candidate understands how to adjust their recruiting approach based on the type of role, business need, and changing requirements.

This person will manage recruiting activity with a project-management mindset, maintain accurate and organized recruiting systems, build strong talent pipelines, provide clear visibility to stakeholders, and contribute to improvements in recruiting processes and workflows.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Own full lifecycle recruiting from initial requirement through candidate selection, offer, hire, or final disposition.
  • Support recruiting across Commercial, Government Services, and Corporate business areas, including direct hire, 1099 consultant, government contract, proposal, and contingent recruiting.
  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand position requirements, priorities, timelines, hiring criteria, and the business need behind each search.
  • Develop and adjust sourcing and recruiting strategies based on the role, talent market, customer requirements, urgency, and changing business needs.
  • Manage recruiting activity as a project by tracking priorities, deadlines, risks, follow-up actions, and stakeholder communication.
  • Source qualified candidates through appropriate channels and build passive pipelines for anticipated, recurring, proposal, and difficult-to-fill needs.
  • Review applications, conduct candidate screens, and partner with hiring managers on interviews, evaluation criteria, candidate selection, and next steps.
  • Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers on offer strategy, compensation considerations, start dates, candidate negotiations, and recruiting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized recruiting systems, trackers, and candidate bench data, including routine review and cleanup.
  • Identify recruiting process gaps, inefficiencies, or risks and implement practical improvements to workflows, systems, and reporting.
  • Provide hiring managers and leadership with clear recruiting status updates, risks, and recommended next actions.
  • Track meaningful recruiting metrics that reflect pipeline quality, proposal readiness, candidate engagement, responsiveness, data integrity, and successful execution against business needs.
  • Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable employment laws, contractual requirements, company policies, and recruiting best practices.
  • Support recruiting events, talent outreach, workforce planning, and other recruiting or HR initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3+ years of full lifecycle recruiting experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Government contracting recruiting experience required.
  • Experience supporting government contract, proposal, and contingent recruiting.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple types of roles or business environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates and developing talent pipelines.
  • Experience recruiting independent contractors or 1099 consultants preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the differences between traditional corporate recruiting and government contracting recruiting.
  • Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches with competing and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify next steps and keep recruiting activity moving.
  • Experience maintaining applicant tracking systems and recruiting workflows.
  • Strong understanding of ATS data integrity, candidate dispositioning, and pipeline management.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement practical improvements.
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders and maintain clear communication with hiring managers and leadership.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, initiative, and sense of ownership.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting compliance requirements, and talent acquisition best practices.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Recruiter at Alluvionic understands the business need behind each search, adjusts their approach based on the type of requirement, keeps recruiting activity organized and moving as priorities change, maintains accurate recruiting systems, builds strong talent pipelines, provides clear visibility to stakeholders, and continuously improves the recruiting process.
