QA Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced QA Team Lead to join our iGaming team and lead a group of QA Engineers responsible for the quality of our products and features. As a QA Team Lead, you will combine hands-on testing, team leadership, mentoring, test planning, and close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams. You will ensure that the team delivers high-quality software while continuously improving testing processes, automation, and overall QA practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

• Lead and coordinate a team of QA Engineers.
• Distribute QA tasks and ensure appropriate testing coverage across projects.
• Mentor and support team members in their technical and professional development.
• Establish a collaborative and ownership-driven team culture.
• Identify skill gaps and help define individual development plans.

QA & Testing

• Plan and coordinate testing activities for new features, releases, and integrations.
• Review test plans, test cases, and test scenarios created by the team.
• Ensure appropriate coverage for functional, regression, integration, exploratory, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Participate in testing of critical and complex functionality.
• Investigate complex defects and help the team identify root causes.
• Ensure defects are properly documented, prioritized, tracked, and verified.
• Monitor overall product quality and communicate risks to stakeholders.

Release Management

• Coordinate QA activities during release cycles.
• Ensure the team is prepared for upcoming releases.
• Track testing progress and communicate status, risks, and blockers.
• Participate in release readiness discussions.
• Support production releases and post-release verification.
• Participate in root-cause analysis of production incidents and help define preventive actions.

Collaboration

• Work closely with team and other departments.
• Participate in refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and release meetings.
• Ensure requirements are clear and testable before development starts.
• Challenge unclear or risky requirements when necessary.
• Help the team maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the SDLC.

Requirements:

• 5-6+ years of experience in QA, with previous experience as a Senior QA, QA Lead, or Team Lead.
• Experience leading or mentoring QA Engineers.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Strong experience with web and API testing.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, Xray, or similar.
• Experience working with CI/CD environments.
• Understanding of test automation and automation frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Technical Skills:

Experience with some of the following technologies and tools:

• REST API / Postman.
• SQL.
• Git.
• Jira / Confluence.
• Selenium / Playwright / Cypress.
• Kafka or other messaging systems.
