We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial lighting and electrical projects in a manufacturer's representative and project solutions environment, taking full ownership from project award through closeout. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client that partners with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, designers, and manufacturers to deliver complex commercial lighting solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role is responsible for driving project execution, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring schedules, budgets, and deliverables remain on track throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where technical expertise and proactive communication are essential to project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple commercial lighting and electrical projects from project award through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, electrical contractors, design teams, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Review project documents, specifications, drawings, and lighting packages to ensure complete and accurate project delivery.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, material procurement, and project documentation while maintaining accurate project records.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to track production schedules, deliveries, and resolve product or supply chain issues.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasting while identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Support fixture selection, value engineering opportunities, and technical product coordination when project requirements evolve.
  • Resolve project challenges quickly by collaborating with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to maintain project momentum.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and leadership regarding schedules, milestones, financial performance, and outstanding action items.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience overseeing commercial lighting, commercial electrical, or related construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout with direct ownership of schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and client communication.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction documents, electrical plans, specifications, and project coordination processes.
  • Experience working directly with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, manufacturers, or lighting design professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent commercial projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software; ERP or construction management platform experience is preferred.
  • Commercial project experience is required; candidates whose experience is limited to residential construction will not be considered.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
