Mission
The Operations Manager Direct Marketing Germany supports the sustainable growth of Alpiq’s Direct Marketing business by ensuring high-quality operational processes, coordinating customer onboarding activities, and acting as a key interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
The role has a strong hands-on operational focus and takes an active role in day-to-day operations, customer onboarding, operational implementation, and the management of complex operational topics.
The role contributes to operational excellence by taking ownership of defined processes, ensuring their reliable day-to-day execution, continuously improving operational effectiveness, supporting the implementation of new products and regulatory requirements, and helping to build a scalable and resilient operational organisation.
Through close collaboration with Sales, Trading, Legal, Settlement, and external service providers, the position helps ensure efficient operations, high customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth.
Your main responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute customer onboarding, contract management, and operational implementation processes for renewable energy assets while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a key operational contact for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient coordination across the onboarding and operational lifecycle.
- Take ownership of assigned operational processes, ensuring high-quality execution, data integrity, and timely resolution of operational issues. Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of new products, regulatory requirements, and market processes within the German Direct Marketing business.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational scalability based on hands-on experience gained through daily operations.
- Support portfolio reporting, KPI monitoring, and operational performance tracking.
- Coordinate complex customer cases and cross-functional initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process documentation, and the further development of operational capabilities within the team.
- Independently manage complex operational cases and coordinate activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders until resolution.

Your profile
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in energy markets, direct marketing, customer operations, contract management, or a comparable operational environment.
- Good understanding of the German energy market, particularly Direct Marketing and renewable energy market processes.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills with the ability to coordinate activities across different functions.
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills and a structured, process-oriented mindset.
- Ability to independently manage complex operational topics and drive them to completion.
- Hands-on mentality with the willingness to take ownership of recurring operational activities while managing more complex operational topics and stakeholder interactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimisation and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Fluent German language skills.
- Strong English language skills.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with operational energy market processes such as customer onboarding, market communication, balancing groups, settlement, GoOs, or regulatory implementation.
- Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel (VBA), Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience coordinating operational projects, process implementations, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Affinity for automation, digitalisation, and continuous process improvement.
