The role
ALS are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Hamilton. Reporting to ANZ Finance Leadership based in Australia, you will oversee accurate financial processing, reporting, budgeting and forecasting while providing trusted advice to the business. You will lead and support two finance team members and work closely with stakeholders across all sections and sites, as well as external clients and suppliers.
The day to day
- Process, record and distribute financial transactions accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations.
- Verify and process intra-company transactions.
- Monitor account balances and investigate variances.
- Identify and resolve accounting errors.
- Prepare reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
- Provide guidance on accounting treatments and transactions.
- Respond to queries from internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
- Ensure finance processes comply with company policies and procedures.
The essentials
- Formal qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- At least five years’ finance or accounting experience.
- Minimum 12 months’ supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of quality, compliance and HSE responsibilities.
