Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Android Automotive SystemUI Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and enhancing SystemUI components for Android Automotive, supporting Android 17 and AOSP main bring-up and stabilization efforts. The ideal candidate will reduce dependencies on internal AOSP APIs, adopt stable extension points, and work on various automotive components. This position is critical for ensuring seamless platform and application integration and for resolving bring-up issues to support customer releases.
Your expertise in Android SystemUI, CarSystemUI, Java/Kotlin, and Android framework development will be pivotal in driving the success of our automotive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance SystemUI components on Android Automotive.
- Support Android 17 and AOSP main bring-up and stabilization.
- Reduce dependency on internal AOSP APIs and adopt stable extension points.
- Develop Launcher, SystemDialogs, panels, notifications, fullscreen, and multi-screen features.
- Support platform and application integration and resolve bring-up issues.
- Work on Bluetooth, Dialer, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay components.
- Perform debugging, fault tracing, root-cause analysis, and performance improvement.
- Implement UX updates and support customer releases.
Qualification Criteria:
- Proven experience in Android Automotive / AAOS / AOSP development.
- Strong understanding of Android SystemUI / CarSystemUI.
- Proficiency in Java / Kotlin.
- Extensive knowledge of Android framework and platform development.
- Experience with Launcher, notifications, and SystemDialogs.
- Skilled in ADB, Logcat, debugging, and RCA.
- Familiarity with Git / Gerrit.
- Ability to work on Bluetooth and Dialer development.
