[GLB/CNTXT] Senior GCP Cloud Architect (Enterprise Modernization)

We are looking for an experienced Senior GCP Cloud Architect to join strategic projects delivered for one of the world's largest energy companies. The project focuses on designing, securing, and modernizing large-scale enterprise environments based on Google Cloud Platform.

Location: On-site at the client's headquarters in Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities

• Have at least 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise solution design, and digital transformation projects.
• Hold a valid Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Possess expert-level knowledge of Terraform and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade IaC solutions.
• Have a proven track record of leading legacy application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in GCP services, particularly IAM, Networking, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and serverless technologies.
• Can effectively translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Are willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work 100% on-site in Dammam.
• Are looking for a long-term project where you can have a real impact on the development of large-scale cloud environments while working with one of the world's leading energy organizations.

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience working with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

Requirements

• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Lead application modernization and migration initiatives, transforming legacy systems into cloud-native architectures.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Architect environments leveraging GKE, Cloud Run, and other core GCP services.
• Define cloud architecture, automation, and security standards across enterprise environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout cloud transformation programs.
