[GLB/SNB] Android Developer (Backbase)

We are looking for a Backbase Android Developer to support the delivery of projects based on the Backbase platform for international clients in the financial sector. If you value modern technologies and high-quality code, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Have at least 4 years of experience in Android application development and maintenance,
• have strong proficiency in Kotlin and use it extensively in your daily development work,
• have hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Android Studio.Have experience with Backbase Mobile SDK,
• have experience with Backbase Mobile Journeys and are familiar with the Backbase Design System,
• understand and apply MVVM or MVI architectural patterns,
• have worked with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack libraries,
• have experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs,
• have experience creating unit tests and UI tests,
• have participated in the process of building, signing, and publishing mobile applications,
• have contributed to the development of at least one application deployed to a production environment,
• have very good English communication skills (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Get Backbase Certified - Mobile Android certification,
• experience working on projects in the banking sector,
• experience using AI tools to support software development, documentation creation, and related activities,
• experience building modern user interfaces powered by large language models (LLMs).

Requirements

• develop and maintain Android mobile applications based on the Backbase platform,
• design and implement new features using Kotlin and modern Android components
• integrate applications with backend REST APIs and banking systems,
• implement solutions in line with MVVM/MVI architecture and mobile development best practices,
• use Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack libraries to build high-performance and scalable solutions,
• ensure application security by implementing authentication, authorization, and secure data storage mechanisms,
• create and maintain unit tests and automated UI tests,
• collaborate with Backend, QA, UX/UI teams, and business analysts to deliver new functionalities; participate in code reviews, code optimization, and software quality improvement initiatives,
• support the process of building, signing, and publishing applications to mobile app stores,
• develop and configure components based on Backbase Mobile SDK and Mobile Journeys,
• actively participate in digital transformation projects for clients in the banking and financial sectors.
