Senior Developer

Required Tasks

This is a hands-on development role in a small, lean team, responsible for building and maintaining the Point of Sale(POS) payment applications that run on our PAX Android terminals. The developer will also adapt and maintain the equivalent applications on UROVO devices and develop the back-end/server-side components (transaction interfaces, APIs, configuration and parameter services) that support the terminal estate. The role owns work end-to-end, from design and coding through testing, certification, release and production support, and works independently with limited oversight.

Requirements

IT-based education background (degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar). (Required)

Minimum 5+ years’ software development experience.

Previous POS, payment terminal, or EFT development experience beneficial.

Experience working with PAX Android terminals beneficial; UROVO experience beneficial

Experience working in a small team, with the ability to cover multiple areas, is beneficial.

Payments, EFT & Transaction Knowledge

Good understanding of EMV and how it works on cards (chip, contactless, cryptograms, and application selection).

Knowledge of card scheme requirements for Mastercard, Visa, Amex, and Diners.

Understanding of standard cryptography, including encryption, hashing, certificates/TLS, and key management concepts.

Awareness of PCI DSS and secure development practices.

Azure DevOps, with a good working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
