Amazon is an American technology and retail conglomerate founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It operates the world's largest online marketplace together with a global logistics network, physical grocery stores and a third-party seller platform that accounts for most units sold. Amazon Web Services, launched in 2006, is the leading public cloud provider and generates the majority of the group's operating profit, while advertising, Prime Video, Alexa devices and Kuiper satellite broadband round out the business.

The Executive Assistant will support the General Manager and Operations Team of an Amazon Customer Fulfillment Center, STR1. A successful candidate is highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information while responding effectively to shifting workloads and priorities. This role combines classic executive support - scheduling, travel, expense management, and meeting coordination - with ownership of local projects, process standardization, and operational metrics across the FC. The ideal candidate communicates with clarity, manages multiple assignments and stakeholders simultaneously, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven fulfillment environment where it's always DAY1.

Key job responsibilities

- Complete expense reports, maintain complex calendars, plan events, and coordinate meetings for Fulfillment Center staff

- Make travel arrangements, manage correspondence, type meeting notes, and create graphics-rich presentations

- Own the strategic pipeline of projects, programs, and local change requests end-to-end, including troubleshooting

- Run the local project management office - track progress, report on initiatives, and monitor process changes

- Drive adoption of best practices and standardization across the site, exchanging knowledge within the FC network

- Coordinate with regional and local stakeholders and present to steering committees

- Partner with Safety, IT, HR, and Facilities to secure resources and meet deadlines

- Prioritize programs, resources, and scope while managing stakeholder expectations

- Collect and consolidate associate improvement ideas into business cases

- Own operations metrics and communicate them in daily/weekly reviews

- Support the FC during periods of high customer demand

A day in the life

You start the day reviewing the General Manager's calendar and prepping for the daily operations review of key FC metrics (safety, quality, productivity). Mid-morning, you coordinate with key stakeholders to unblock an active project, then update site leadership team. You handle travel and expense tasks between meetings, build a presentation for an upcoming steering committee, and consolidate improvement ideas from associates on the floor. Your internal stakeholders span regional and local teams; your "customers" are the FC's leaders and frontline associates. You close the day setting tomorrow's priorities.
