Head of Engineering

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a hands-on approachsomeone who can set the technical vision, build high-performing teams, and ensure world-class execution and delivery. You'll be responsible for driving the company's technology strategy, architecture, and engineering excellence while fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, data, and DevOps.
• Drive end-to-end product delivery from architecture and design to deployment and monitoring.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and Business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes.
• Evaluate and adopt the right tools, frameworks, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead initiatives around system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Foster a strong engineering culture built on collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Manage technical budgets and hiring plans, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of overall experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or Head of Engineering role.
• Proven experience in scaling engineering teams (ideally from 20 to 100+ engineers).
• Strong hands-on technical background in modern technologies (e. g., Node.js, Java, Python, React, AWS, microservices, distributed systems, etc. ).
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Strong understanding of product architecture, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Series B+ or late-stage startups or product-first organizations.
• Exposure to AI/ML, data platforms, or fintech/consumer tech products.
• Experience setting up engineering org structure, processes, and performance frameworks.
• Passion for building technology that creates a measurable impact.
