SDE - 2 (Full - Stack)

We are looking for a Full-stack Engineer (SDE-2) to join our engineering team, working across a Java/Spring Boot backend and a React frontend. You will build and own product features end-to-end, from design discussion through to deployment and monitoring on AWS in close collaboration with product and design. Our platform processes invoices, payments, and reconciliation for large enterprises, so correctness and reliability matter as much as delivery speed. A significant share of our code is authored with AI coding agents, and we expect engineers to use them well while remaining fully accountable for what ships.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Build and enhance React-based frontend applications with clean, reusable, and performant code.
• Integrate frontend and backend through well-designed REST APIs.
• Participate in design discussions and contribute to system architecture decisions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and security standards, including for financial workflows.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to ETL pipelines and data workflows where projects require it.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality features.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka in production systems.
• Proficiency with React.js and modern frontend practices.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2 RDS, S3 Lambda) and with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred / General Requirements:

• Working knowledge of LLM-powered workflows, RAG pipelines, OCR, or agentic AI systems.
• Effective day-to-day use of AI coding agents as part of the development workflow.
• Exposure to high-scale environments and the evolutionary technical challenges they present.
• Understanding of distributed systems and their operational complexities.
• Experience with fintech, payments, or enterprise SaaS products.
• A proactive approach to learning and attention to operational quality as a product concern.
