SDE III - Fullstack

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java or Python.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed backend systems.
• Develop responsive and scalable frontend applications using React.js .
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from requirement understanding and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Work on complex technical problems and develop robust, maintainable solutions.
• Design systems that are highly available, scalable, reliable, and resilient.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions and contribute to long-term technical direction.
• Drive engineering best practices around coding standards, code reviews, testing, source control, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to raising overall engineering standards.
• Take ownership of technical projects and independently drive them from conception through successful delivery.
• Balance short-term delivery requirements with long-term architecture, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of professional software development experience, preferably working on large-scale production systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java or Python, with a clear emphasis on backend development.
• Strong experience building APIs, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Design Principles.
• Experience designing and developing large-scale, highly available, 24x7 production systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of databases, caching, messaging, and system performance optimisation.
• Experience with professional software engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, source control, build processes, deployment, and production operations.
• Ability to independently drive technical projects and make sound architectural decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
