Are you a specialist in analytics, big data, data warehousing, search, or streaming? Do you have expertise across the entire data lifecycle - from data ingestion, real-time processing, and storage to transformation, search, and visualization? At a time when generative AI and AI agents are fundamentally reshaping what data platforms can be, are you interested in pioneering new architectures at the forefront of this transformation? In this role, as a Specialist Solutions Architect, you will provide customers with best practices for building and operating analytics, search, and streaming workloads. Beyond that, you will partner with customers to design agent-ready data platforms - foundations that enable AI agents to autonomously search, process, and analyze data to support decision-making. This is an environment where you can take on the rapid pace of technological change head-on: from traditional BI/DWH to semantic search powered by generative AI, natural language data exploration, RAG-based insight generation, and the convergence of real-time streaming with AI.

While grounded in deep analytics expertise, you will approach customer challenges with a broad perspective that spans adjacent domains such as ML, security, and databases. As a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance not only on cost optimization and performance, but also on new dimensions including data governance, AI/ML integration, and multimodal data utilization - driving customer projects forward.

You will design and build cloud-native and generative-AI-native reference architectures with your own hands, and share them broadly with the technical community through white papers, workshops, blogs, and more. In addition to supporting customers in Japan, you will continuously provide feedback to shape the roadmap for AWS analytics, search, streaming, and generative AI services.

Basic qualifications

- お客様または自社内エグゼクティブの意思決定について、自身の技術領域に関する観点で影響力を発揮した経験

- ビジネスレベル以上（N1以上）の日本語での流暢な会話・読み書き能力

- ビッグデータ処理技術（Hadoop、Apache Spark など）、ストリーミング処理（Apache Kafka、Amazon Kinesis、Apache Flink など）、検索基盤（OpenSearch、Elasticsearch、ベクトル検索、セマンティック検索）、データウェアハウスの技術アーキテクチャ、ETL、レポーティング／分析ツールなどのうち、少なくとも1つに関する深い経験を持ち、複数の分野にまたがる複雑な仕組みについての知見をもつ

- 生成AIを活用したデータアーキテクチャ（RAG、セマンティック検索、ベクトルDB、LLMオーケストレーション、AIエージェントによるデータパイプライン自動化など）に対する強い関心と学習意欲。実際に設計・構築に携わった経験があれば尚可

- Experience influencing decision making by customers or internal executives through expertise in your technical domain

- Deep experience in at least one of the following areas: big data processing technologies (such as Hadoop and Apache Spark), stream processing (such as Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, and Apache Flink), search platforms (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, vector search, and semantic search), data warehouse technical architecture, ETL, and reporting/analytics tools, with knowledge of complex systems spanning multiple domains

- Strong interest in and eagerness to learn about data architectures powered by generative AI (RAG, semantic search, vector databases, LLM orchestration, AI agent-driven data pipeline automation, etc.). Hands-on experience in designing or building such architectures is a plus

- Experience building and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Fluent spoken and written Japanese at business level or above (JLPT N1 or equivalent)

Preferred qualifications

- 5年以上のクラウドアーキテクチャおよびソリューション実装の経験、またはAWS Associateレベルの認定資格

- Deep experience in at least one of the following technical areas: generative AI / AI agent platforms, AI/ML, databases, governance, and storage

- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation, or an AWS Associate-level certification

- Experience in a customer-facing role, collaborating with customer executives, engineers, or partners to solve business challenges using cutting-edge technologies

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
