The AWS APAC transportation team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Manager with a background in transport operations and and logistics to manage the day-to-day operations for one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join an agile and driven team while ensuring the highest standards of services and safety compliance.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation operations, with excellent data-driven problem resolution skills. They should have experience in vendor management and process design and improvement projects. The role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Key job responsibilities
VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- Act as point of escalation for transportation vendor related issues
- Manage vendor operational excellence through data driven metrics
- Implement and execute transportation strategies that support short and long term goals AUTOMATION ENHANCEMENT
- Influence internal technical teams to drive multi-system process changes
- Provide scalable solutions for continued growth
- Set project requirements and drive agendas across internal and external teams A day in the life In this role you will:
- Daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers on operational and safety matters
- Work with multiple stakeholder teams to develop and implement new best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in the operational environment internally and externally

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields
- 3+ years of transportation and supply chain experience
Preferred qualifications
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience in managing international transportation (air, ground, ocean)
