Most enterprise AI in ASEAN is failing in production. Not because the models are wrong, because the data foundation underneath them isn't there. The databases, analytics, storage, and governance that AI actually runs on are a decade of legacy debt in most of the region's biggest companies. That is the problem you get to solve.
You are a Strategic Data Seller for ASEAN's most strategic accounts. You own the full data conversation, analytics, storage, governance, and you connect it to the business and AI outcomes the customer is chasing. This is a consultative seller role, who brings point of view to earn trust and bring a path to close large opportunities. THey walk into a CIO or Chief Retail Officer and reframe how they think about their data estate, and that reframe is what creates the urgency and the budget. The right candidate has a blend of consultancy with a path to close.
You will spend your time across the whole arc: at the whiteboard, in the room with CXOs, and on the path to closure, have a BCAP partner amplifies your deals. You take the data conversation back, and architect the pathway for the customer to build their data foundations. Scope will be 5 to 10 customer across ASEAN with high complexity. This is a sales role and you carry a $M+ number.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Operate across the CXO level. Set the agenda in the room.
- Reframe the customer. Bring a point of view that changes how a CXO sees their data estate, tied to the business outcomes and AI use cases they actually care about. The POV opens the deals.
- Sell the full platform. Position AWS as the integrated foundation, operational databases through open lakehouse analytics and governance into AI. Not one product, the estate.
- Win the transformations. Drive data estates and migrations with consultative POV, use case positioning with urgency.
- Energised by whiteboard and debating session.
- Run the ecosystem - from the strategic thinking of BCaps to the deliver with GSIs.
- You own the number. Build and forecast a concentrated $M+ pipeline. Call it with conviction.
You experience will show:
- Have carried a quota for 10+ years and closed large, complex technology deals.
- Can whiteboard a modern data architecture and hold your own with an engineering team, level 200+.
- Have sold into ASEAN or a comparable multi country territory and know how procurement and regulation actually work here.
- Come from a data or analytics background.
- Know the Data + AI landscape.

Basic qualifications
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
- Experience engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level).
- 10+ years in enterprise technology sales with quota ownership, selling to commercial or enterprise customers.
- 3+ years of direct field sales experience across two or more of: databases, analytics, storage, data governance, or data platform solutions.
- Technical fluency - able to whiteboard a modern data architecture, engage credibly with engineering teams, and translate business priorities into solution designs.
- Experience selling into ASEAN markets or comparable multi-country territories.
Preferred qualifications

- Technical background in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems. -
- Experience selling data platforms, cloud databases, analytics, or data lake solutions. -
- Experience driving adoption of open-source data technologies (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, PostgreSQL). -
- Track record selling to C-level executives in ASEAN enterprise organizations, particularly CIO, CDO, and CTO. -
- Experience working cross-functionally with Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, and Partner teams to land complex deals. -
