Amazon is an American technology and retail conglomerate founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It operates the world's largest online marketplace together with a global logistics network, physical grocery stores and a third-party seller platform that accounts for most units sold. Amazon Web Services, launched in 2006, is the leading public cloud provider and generates the majority of the group's operating profit, while advertising, Prime Video, Alexa devices and Kuiper satellite broadband round out the business.

There’s a universe of opportunity at Amazon.

At Amazon, your career doesn’t follow a straight line. It accelerates, twists, and challenges you in ways you never expected. From the moment you join, you’re part of something big: building products or services that reach millions and shaping how people live, work, and connect every day. You’ll move fast, experiment and launch solutions that matter. With endless opportunities to explore across teams and roles, you’ll learn quickly, apply what you know and discover skills you didn’t know existed. This is an environment designed for builders who want to see the impact of their work in the world. Ready to start your adventure?

What’s in it for you?

An internship at Amazon means real responsibility from day one. You’ll build, test, and learn alongside people who want to see you succeed, while making an impact that reaches far beyond campus.

This is a summer only internship, taking place between May/June and August/September 2027. Amazon internships across all seasons are full-time positions. Interns should expect to work in office, Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8am and 5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Students should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon workday.

Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter, semester, or trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. By applying to this position, your application will be considered for all UX Designer Intern roles at the locations we hire for across the United States.

You will be able to provide your preference of location and start date during the application process, but we cannot guarantee that we can meet your selection based on several factors, including but not limited to the availability and business needs of this role. Finalization of the available locations and start dates will be provided to you at the time of job offer.

As a UX Design intern, you will contribute to product vision and collaborate with a team that defines and designs user interfaces, systems, and interaction, visual, motion, and voice design patterns. You must be proactive, creative, flexible, and resilient, and able to handle high levels of ambiguity.

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
