Ambrook is an agricultural financial technology company that builds accounting, bookkeeping and payments software for farms and ranches. Its platform helps producers manage cash flow, track expenses and find and apply for grants and conservation funding, with the aim of making sustainable practices profitable. Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States.
Backed by BoxGroup

Ambrook helps American family-run businesses become more profitable and resilient.

From volatile markets to climate shifts, independent operators face mounting pressure. While sustainable investments often yield the best long-term returns, they require financial clarity and capital that fragmented legacy systems can’t provide.

We are rebuilding the financial infrastructure that real economy operators rely on. By replacing paperwork with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending, Ambrook gives owners the data they need to prove viability to lenders and the next generation. We empower the stewards of land and labor to make confident investments in their future.

We’re a Series B startup backed by Lachy Groom, Thrive Capital, Dylan Field, Thomson Reuters Ventures, Cameron Ventures, and leaders at Notion, Gusto, and Vercel. We’re looking for team members to help us untangle the intersection of American industry, climate, and the economy.

The role

You’ll run programs across Ambrook: placemaking, events, tech enablement, and design program management, research management, and special projects that keep our fast-growing team moving. You’ll give loose tasks a plan, a budget, and a system that can grow with us.

You’ll lead placemaking for our Denver office. You’ll report to our co-founder Jeff Anders and drive programs across design, Labs, and recruiting. Some of your projects will span all three offices and our distributed team, and the scope can grow as you take on more. You’ll have an amazing counterpart in New York, Crystal Luo, who runs programs for that office today, and an incoming counterpart in San Francisco.

What you’ll do

  • Own placemaking in the Denver office. Make it a place teammates enjoy working from and where Denver’s builders and designers can meet us. Run the small rituals that help teammates know each other, and handle the guests, vendors, supplies, equipment, and access behind it.

  • Partner with Jeff as founder’s associate. Pick up whatever matters most that month and see it through: prepare for key meetings and hires, run special projects end to end, and drive decisions to done. You’ll get a special close view of how a company gets built.

  • Equip thedesign team. Lead design program management: collect critique agendas, gather materials for product reviews, find opportunities to evangelize vision. Study and provision the onslaught of new design and AI tools to try, and maintain our media libraries and press kits. Work with creative director Ali Aas to organize a network of specialists (printers, illustrators, photographers, and other contractors).

  • Shape how customers and candidates meet Ambrook. Recruit customers for research sessions and product pilots, and plan and join trips to see them around Colorado, from the foothills to the Western Slope and the Eastern Plains, plus visits across the country. Run local candidate onsites and organize portfolio reviews from invite to follow-up.

  • Catalyze community with events. Denver’s tech community is young and still finding its footing, and we want Ambrook to be one of the places where engineers, designers, and founders meet to share what they’re learning. Plan coffees, intimate dinners, and meetups around the metro area, along with company activations across offices, and curate the guests and topics so each one is worth showing up for.

  • Improve tech enablement. Work with department managers and the other program managers on how teammates get access to the tools they need, from onboarding and offboarding to rolling out new software and AI tools. Write down what works so it holds up as we grow.

  • Create AI systems where things keep breaking. When a process trips people up repeatedly, pause and rebuild it.

About you

  • You’ve spent 1 to 8 years in roles like operations, recruiting, hospitality, design operations, or production.

  • You’re hospitable and care about craft, from noticing what a guest needs before they ask to the content of an event invite and the interior design of our space.

  • Friction bothers you. You’d rather spend an afternoon improving a system than work around a broken one for months.

  • You’re good with tools. You can set up a new hire’s accounts, fix a conference room, and use AI to save time on recurring work.

  • You know talented people in key Denver circles: tech, startups, design, research, and industry. You’re curious and have great stories to show for it.

Details

  • Full-time, based in our Denver office at the Evans School (1115 Acoma St) at least 4 days a week.

  • Reports to Jeff Anders, co-founder and Head of Design.

  • Health insurance, 401(k) match, paid parental leave, flexible vacation, and wellness and learning stipends.
