Extrusion Machine Operator
Amcor - Mundelein, IL 60060
- Pay: $22-$27/hour based on experience
- Night shift premium: Additional $1.00/hour
- Bonus: $1,000 referral
- Schedule: 2-2-3, 12 hour schedule on days, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM, or nights 6:00 PM-6:00 AM. (Must be available to work weekends and Holidays)
Amcor is hiring Extrusion Operators to set up, run, and support extrusion machines in our Mundelein manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on production role for candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and run extrusion machines to meet production standards
- Perform quality checks and document results
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Record production data and maintain clean work areas
- Assist with machine maintenance
Must Have
- Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance, safety focus, and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Accurate measurement skills
- Basic metric conversion knowledge
- Forklift or hand jack experience
- Experience helping train or guide team members
