Physical Security Captain

Amentum is seeking a Physical Security Captain to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a training program structured for compliance with U.S. Navy and Amentum Directives; evaluates, tracks, and documents same.
• Supervises department personnel including scheduling and performance related actions.
• Responds to Emergencies as required, and acts as Hurricane coordinator for WPB reporting and Mass notification via AUDIX.
• Compiles/submits reports as required.
• Develop/Implement department instructions as required.
• Interact with all levels of management.
• Administers the Palm Beach International (AUTEC) assigned parking program.
• Assumes duties of the Physical Security Chief in his/her absence.
• Acts as Primary Trainer and POC for all training and performance efficiencies pertaining to WPB/ASD Pass & ID functions and responsibilities.
• Lenel Administrator for badging and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 5 years related experience working as a Manager or Supervisor in the Military, Civilian, Industrial Security or comparable environment.
• Meet minimum physical standards which include the ability to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Excellent skills or mastery of the MS office suite.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Lenel OnGuard program for badging and hardware troubleshooting.
• AS/AA or higher degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent degree.
• 5 years or more of experience working in a government secure environment responsible for the handling and protection of classified assets and media.
