Are you a conveyancing paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work with high-quality institutional clients? Are you looking to deepen your experience in real estate finance while being part of a supportive, specialist team?

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven Paralegal to join our Real Estate Finance team, with a particular focus on Islamic Finance.

This is a chance to work at a top 50 law firm on interesting residential property transactions for leading financial institutions, in a role that offers responsibility and genuine development opportunities.

The Role

You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team acting for Islamic finance institutions that provide home purchase and buy-to-let facilities to their customers. As these are Sharia-compliant facilities, customers are separately represented, and your role will focus on:

This role is ideally suited to a paralegal with experience in residential conveyancing, commercial conveyancing or real estate finance, who enjoys juggling multiple matters and working to deadlines.

This role will be based in our Birmingham office on a flexible hybrid basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing your own caseload with a high level of autonomy
  • Reviewing title and supporting legal documentation
  • Drafting enquiries, correspondence and completion documentation
  • Preparing reports and undertaking legal research where required
  • Managing all aspects of the completion process
  • Liaising professionally with clients, banks and firms of solicitors
  • Proactively progressing matters and resolving issues as they arise

What you will need:

  • Ideally a qualifying law degree or a degree in any discipline with a graduate diploma in law
  • A minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a fee-earning role, ideally within residential conveyancing, commercial conveyancing or real estate finance
  • Technical understanding of the residential conveyancing process
  • Experience handling a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Confident using case management systems
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and commercially aware
  • A proactive team player with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
