About the Role
Hello, ELA Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for a school setting in Summerville, SC. In this role, you'll provide engaging ELA instruction, support students in developing strong reading and writing skills, and create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes academic growth and student success.

What You’ll Do
Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with South Carolina academic standards
Teach reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills
Help students strengthen reading comprehension and analyze literary and informational texts
Differentiate instruction to support students with varying academic abilities and learning needs
Develop lesson plans and instructional activities that promote student engagement and achievement
Assess and monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student performance
Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Provide students with meaningful feedback and additional academic support as needed
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals to support student success
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other responsibilities that support the school community
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate English/ELA certification
Strong communication and classroom management skills
School-based teaching experience preferred, not required
