About ANA:

Join a recognized industry leader - Alliance North America was proudly named a 2025 Top Workplace in the Manufacturing Industry, an honor based entirely on feedback from our own employees about our culture, values, and workplace experience.

Alliance North America was established in 2017 and is proud to be the sole North American supplier of AIRMAN Power Generators, AIRMAN Air Compressors, and ANA’s patented EBOSS® Hybrid Energy System and Smart load bank system. Our commitment to our customers is to Make their World Easier, by answering the phone, understanding their needs, and taking ownership to provide them solutions. With a large parts inventory and more than 90% of all orders shipping within 24 hours, you never have to worry about spare parts. We help keep your fleet in top condition with our world class Support Department, who are always ready to help and be a resource by providing training on our equipment.

As a Manufacturing Engineer working on the New Production Introduction (NPI) vertical, you will be responsible for transitioning new products and accessories from the R&D phase through final development, production readiness, and handoff to Operations. You will work closely with R&D, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technicians, Document Control, Quality, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, and Operations to ensure products are manufacturable, properly documented, validated, and ready for repeatable production. Your primary goal will be to bridge product development and manufacturing by creating the Engineering Procedures and technical requirements that Process Engineering will use to develop and align production processes and work instructions for ANA's current and future product lines supporting the equipment rental industry.

The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays at 7:00 - 4:00pm. There is 25% travel requirement to other factory locations throughout the country. This role reports to the Director of Engineering.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI)/Product Transition: Lead the manufacturing engineering activities required to transition new products and accessories from R&D through final development, production-intent builds, pilot builds, and release to Operations.
  • Engineering Procedures: Develop and maintain detailed Engineering Procedures that define the technical assembly requirements, critical specifications, torque requirements, component installation requirements, inspection points, and product validation requirements. Partner with Process Engineering to support translation of Engineering Procedures into production SOPs and work instructions.
  • Design for Manufacturability: Collaborate with R&D, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams during final product development to identify and resolve DFM/DFA issues before production release.
  • Pilot Builds & Production Readiness: Plan, coordinate, and support prototype, production-intent, and pilot builds. Capture manufacturing issues, drive corrective actions, and verify closure prior to formal handoff to Operations.
  • BOM & ERP Readiness: Validate production BOM structure, part requirements, and manufacturing readiness. Support creation and maintenance of production BOMs and routing workflows in Business Central in coordination with the appropriate cross-functional teams.
  • Documentation & Change Control: Verify that released drawings, BOMs, Engineering Procedures, specifications, and related engineering documentation accurately represent the production-intent design. Initiate and support ECR/ECO changes and redlines identified during NPI builds.
  • Cross-Functional Handoff: Serve as the Engineering interface with Process Engineering and Operations during product introduction. Ensure technical requirements, lessons learned, open issues, and product-specific risks are clearly communicated and resolved before production release.
  • Quality & Validation: Work with Quality and Engineering to define critical-to-quality requirements, inspection criteria, functional checks, and product validation requirements to ensure production units meet engineering specifications and customer expectations.
  • Tooling & Assembly Requirements: Identify specialized tooling, fixtures, lifting requirements, assembly aids, and manufacturing constraints needed to successfully build new products. Provide technical requirements to Process Engineering and Operations for implementation.
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause: Provide hands-on mechanical and system-level troubleshooting during development, pilot, and early production builds. Lead or support root-cause investigations and drive engineering corrective actions.
  • Cost & Manufacturability: Identify opportunities during product development to reduce manufacturing complexity, labor, material cost, and rework while maintaining product performance, quality, and reliability.
  • Multi-Plant Standardization: Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams across ANA locations to establish consistent product requirements, Engineering Procedures, and production-intent configurations across manufacturing facilities.
  • Launch Support: Support Process Engineering and Operations through initial production runs and remain engaged until the product and associated engineering requirements are stable and the handoff is complete.
  • Project & Readiness Reporting: Track NPI milestones, production-readiness issues, corrective actions, Engineering Procedure status, and launch risks. Communicate status and escalate issues that could impact product release or production schedules.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure engineering requirements and product-transition activities support applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements and prioritize safe manufacturing practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, new product introduction (NPI), product industrialization, or a related manufacturing environment. Experience transitioning engineered products from prototype/R&D into repeatable production is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Business Central, and CAD software. Strong understanding of BOMs, engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, tolerance requirements, assembly methods, tooling, and engineering change control.
  • NPI & Manufacturing Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA, pilot builds, production readiness, root-cause problem solving, engineering documentation, and cross-functional product launches.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to identify manufacturing risks, determine root cause, and drive practical engineering solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate engineering requirements into clear Engineering Procedures and communicate technical information across Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Project Coordination: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple NPI projects, priorities, action items, and launch schedules simultaneously.
  • Hands-On Capability: Comfortable working directly with prototype, pilot, and production equipment to evaluate assembly methods, troubleshoot issues, and validate engineering solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond quickly to changing development and production priorities.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with R&D, Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and other teams to achieve successful product launches.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% between ANA locations and other project sites as required.
