ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, with locations in Cypress, California, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling, and we are seeking a Technical Training Technician in an onsite position in Henderson, Nevada. As a Technical Training Technician, you will deliver hands-on manufacturing training, support operator qualification, maintain accurate training records, and reinforce standardized work across the production floor. You will help ensure employees are trained consistently and prepared to perform assigned work safely, correctly, and efficiently.

The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This role reports to the Plant Manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on onboarding, station training, cross-training, refresher training, and requalification for production employees using approved work instructions, SOPs, visual aids, and training plans.
  • Demonstrate assembly, disassembly, inspection, material-handling, equipment-use, safety, and quality requirements at the workstation level.
  • Coordinate structured shadowing and supervised practice, coach employees during the learning process, and provide clear feedback on progress and remaining skill gaps.
  • Administer practical skill observations and qualification checklists, document demonstrated competency, and recommend employees for certification when established requirements are met.
  • Maintain complete and audit-ready training records, including attendance, qualification checklists, training acknowledgments, requalification status, and the operator skills matrix.
  • Ensure current work instructions, SOPs, visual aids, and other approved training materials are available at the point of use, and remove obsolete or superseded materials from the production floor.
  • Identify unclear instructions, missing visuals, difficult-to-teach steps, and recurring employee questions; provide documented feedback to the Technical Training Engineer for review and correction.
  • Observe employees performing trained work, reinforce standardized work, and escalate repeated deviations, unsafe practices, quality concerns, or process issues to the appropriate leader.
  • Support new product introduction and pilot builds by learning new processes, assisting with trial training, capturing operator feedback, and supporting the rollout of approved training to production.
  • Partner with production supervisors, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and the Technical Training Engineer to identify capability gaps and prioritize training needs.
  • Track training activity and provide routine status updates on onboarding progress, qualification coverage, overdue training, requalification needs, and cross-training readiness.
  • Maintain training tools, sample components, demonstration materials, mockups, and designated training areas in a safe, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
  • Assist with practical skills assessments for production candidates and support 30-, 60-, and 90-day employee competency reviews as requested.
  • Train and coach production employees on manufacturing principles and practices, including Lean, 5S, Kanban, standard work, and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical certificate, apprenticeship, or military technical training preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, production assembly, equipment maintenance, technical service, or hands-on workforce training; equivalent military experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely perform and teach hands-on technical tasks using hand tools, power tools, production equipment, PPE, and established safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, bills of material, routings, work instructions, SOPs, and inspection criteria at the workstation level.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with genuine comfort demonstrating tasks, coaching employees, and providing constructive feedback on the production floor.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate training records, checklists, schedules, and skills-matrix information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn work-instruction, learning-management, quality, and production systems.
  • Preferred: experience with TWI Job Instruction, lean manufacturing, standardized work, 5S, ISO 9001, or structured operator-certification programs.
  • Preferred: experience with electromechanical assembly, generators, compressors, power systems, industrial equipment, or related products.
