Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Architect microservices, APIs, and event-driven/asynchronous workflows.
  • Build backend platforms that integrate with AI agents, automation, and enterprise systems.
  • Own architecture scalability, security, reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Lead design and implementation of distributed systems and design reviews.
  • Lead engineers through code reviews and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Contribute to technology roadmap and technical hiring.

Requirements:

  • Java Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data JPA) and microservices architecture.
  • PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, polyglot persistence.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, API-first design.
  • Security (JWT, OAuth2); testing (JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers).
  • Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing).

Preferred:

  • Neo4j, Elasticsearch, event sourcing, CQRS, DDD.
  • Business process engines, workflow orchestration.
  • Insurance domain knowledge (policies, claims, underwriting).
  • GitOps and CI/CD.
