The Commercial Division Manager will be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership & Division Planning
- Define and drive the division strategy in line with company objectives and market dynamics.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear execution plans across categories and departments.
- Lead quarterly planning, performance reviews, and strategic recalibration.
Product Portfolio & Assortment Management
- Own division-level assortment strategy, informed by customer insights, market trends, and performance data.
- Oversee category structure, rationalization cycles, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure alignment between assortment depth, availability, and demand patterns.
Supplier Strategy & Commercial Negotiations
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships to drive value, growth, and differentiation.
- Lead negotiations covering pricing, terms, promotions, JBPs, and commercial investments.
- Establish long-term partnership frameworks to support scalable growth.
Availability, Inventory & Demand Optimization
- Oversee availability performance and supply chain coordination to minimize stockouts.
- Guide inventory strategies to balance DOC, turnover, and service levels.
- Apply forecasting and demand planning insights to improve inventory efficiency.
Pricing, Promotions & Revenue Optimization
- Define division-level pricing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and margin.
- Monitor competitive pricing and market elasticity.
- Oversee promotional effectiveness and post-analysis.
Media Partnerships & Commercial Investments
- Partner with Media Buying and Partnerships teams to secure supplier media investments.
- Ensure media spend translates into measurable sales and margin impact.
- Integrate media strategy into overall category growth plans.
Performance, Financial & Market Leadership
- Own end-to-end division performance, including market intelligence, competitive analysis, and full P&L accountability. Drive Sales, Availability, Margin, DOC, BSV, Market Share, and Other Income through disciplined performance reviews, financial optimization, and data-led corrective actions to close gaps and capture growth opportunities.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in Category Management, Commercial Strategy, or Retail/E-commerce roles.
- Proven experience managing large assortments, multi-category divisions, and full P&L accountability.
- Strong background in supplier negotiations, pricing strategy, and commercial performance management.
-Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Leadership experience managing and developing senior category teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
