The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced IT professional ready to progress from systems administration and technical support into increasing ownership of cloud and enterprise infrastructure. The position administers and improves AnaVation'sAzure, Microsoft 365, identity, Windows/Linux, networking, endpoint, and related infrastructure environments. Infrastructure and cloud engineering are the primary focus, with embedded responsibilities for automation, system documentation, and technical security-control implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer, administer, troubleshoot, and improve Azure Government/GCC High infrastructure and services.
Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
Administer and troubleshoot Windows/Linux systems and corporate network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and related services.
Administer identity and access management, including security groups, MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access.
Administer SharePoint Online, including site architecture, permissions, migrations, and platform configuration.
Develop PowerShell and other automation for provisioning, administration, reporting, and configuration validation.
Maintain accuratesystem documentation, including diagrams, inventories, configurations, data flows, build procedures, change records, and operating procedures.
Implement and document technical security controls, system hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, and monitoring.
Assist the IT Manager/ISSM with technical documentation and evidence supporting CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, ISO, and DCSA requirements.
Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and provide knowledge transfer across the corporate IT team.
Work with technology partners while maintaining AnaVation'sinternal technical knowledge and ownership.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of IT, systems administration, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or related experience.
Experience administering Windows systems, Entra ID identity, and Intune-managed endpoints.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls.
Experience with system patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, configuration management, and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently learn new technologiesand progress from guided implementation to technical ownership.
Ability to meet applicable U.S. Government and customer security requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
Azure Government/GCC High experience.
ExperiencewithPowerShellcloud administration.
Familiarity with CMMC, NIST, RMF, STIGs, ISO, DCSA, or similar regulated-environment requirements.
Interest in developing toward a Deputy ISSM / system security support role.
Microsoft Azure/M365, Security+, or comparable technical certifications.
Experience supporting DoD, federal, or other regulated environments.
Active U.S. Government security clearance.
Growth and Development
The engineer is expected to develop increasing ownership of AnaVation'scloud and infrastructure environment. The role also provides a development path toward Deputy ISSM responsibilities, including system security documentation, weekly system reviews, continuous monitoring, technical control validation, policy and procedure maintenance, assessment support, and other recurring system-security activities under the direction of the IT Manager/ISSM.
