Key responsibilities:
• Effective Utilization of Laboratory Equipment.
• Develop a system for managing records of samples, quality control and analysis.
• Responsible for the timeous completion of selected projects.
• Must be able to assist with training of laboratory personnel for maximum output.
• Conduct risk assessments when performing routine tasks.
• Oversee general housekeeping activities.
• Safety, Health, and Environmental Effectiveness
• Oversee the execution of preparation for maintenance, safely, to achieve section’s targets.
• Maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control Standards and Procedures.
• Provide administrative assistance.
• Management and continuous improvement initiatives of sample turnaround times
• Carrying out ad hoc operational requirements.
• Implement Laboratory Compliance Audits.
• Calibration and Maintenance of Analytical Equipment.
• Compilation of Performance Reports.
• Identify and define areas of improvement with the laboratory.
