Position Summary
ANSER is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division. The SCMS Division operates as the organic Lead Systems Integrator (oLSI®) and provides in-service engineering, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems.
In this role, you will formulate and apply mathematical modeling, analytical techniques, and other optimization methods to develop and interpret information that supports management decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions. You will collect and evaluate data, develop decision-support products and methodologies, and provide analytical insights that support Division objectives and mission requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Formulate and apply mathematical models, optimization techniques, and analytical methods to support management decision-making and policy formulation.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and evaluate data to develop actionable insights and decision-support information.
- Develop decision-support software, services, tools, and/or products to address program and Division requirements.
- Develop and apply analytical methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address complex Division objectives and drive measurable results.
- Analyze operational, programmatic, and technical data to identify trends, relationships, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and provide optimal time, cost, resource, or logistics networks to support program evaluation, review, planning, or implementation.
- Apply operations research techniques to evaluate alternatives and support effective resource allocation and mission planning.
- Translate analytical results into clear recommendations and decision-support information for management and stakeholders.
- Support the development of analytical models and tools that improve program planning, evaluation, and implementation.
- Reinforce Division information-sharing objectives by supporting an environment focused on net-centricity, data sharing, collaboration, and effective use of information.
- Develop methodologies and analytical approaches that promote consistent, repeatable, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with technical, programmatic, and Government stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate analytical solutions.
- Prepare analytical products, reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve analytical processes, information sharing, and decision-support capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree plus 4 additional years of experience related to the position’s duties; OR 6 additional years of experience related to the position’s duties in lieu of a degree.
- Experience applying analytical, mathematical, statistical, operations research, or optimization techniques to support organizational or program objectives.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making.
- Ability to develop and apply analytical methodologies, frameworks, and approaches to address complex problems.
- Ability to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable information for management and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical, programmatic, and Government stakeholders.
Only candidates who currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance to job location (50 miles) will be considered. This positions requires hybrid work schedule with several days a week in the office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or other Government programs.
- Experience with mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, forecasting, or other operations research techniques.
- Experience developing decision-support tools, software, services, or analytical products.
- Experience developing time, cost, resource, or logistics models and networks.
- Experience with data visualization and analytical reporting tools.
- Experience developing analytical frameworks and methodologies for complex organizational or program requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting data-sharing, collaboration, and net-centric information environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and analytical quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a customer-driven, mission-focused environment.

Full-Time Salary Range for this position:
$89,000—$129,000 USD
