Engineering Tech Lead (Java | AI/LLM)

We are looking for an Engineering Tech Lead to drive the development of modern Java-based applications while leading the adoption of LLM, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI solutions. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience building and operating production-grade AI systems-not someone who has only used generative AI tools.

Your responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture decisions while mentoring the engineering team.

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality applications using Java/Spring Boot and React.

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes-based deployments, and cloud infrastructure.

• Design, test, and optimize prompts for production LLM use cases.

• Build and maintain Agentic AI solutions, including tool/function calling, multi-agent workflows, evaluation pipelines, observability, and guardrails.

• Partner with product and business teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and React.

• Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Hands-on experience delivering LLM-powered applications into production, including Prompt Engineering, prompt evaluation (e.g. LangSmith, PromptFlow, Braintrust), structured outputs, function/tool calling, and agent orchestration.

Nice to have

• Experience designing autonomous or multi-agent AI systems.

• Knowledge of LLM observability, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices.

• Experience working in highly regulated environments such as banking or financial services.
