Field Service Engineer (f/m/x)

The Junior Technical Sales Representative for Food & Feed will support the development of Anton Paar’s business in the food and feed sector, with a strong focus on milling, cereal processing, baking, ingredients, extrusion, and food manufacturing industries.

The role combines technical consulting, application support, and sales activities for advanced laboratory and pilot-scale instrumentation used in material characterization, rheological analysis, quality control, and process optimization.

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality on-site technical service for Anton Paar analytical instruments across the assigned characterization product lines, including microwave extraction and synthesis systems, rheometers, and material characterization and processing instruments.

This includes installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training. The role also provides technical and application-related support to customers while identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and generate additional service and sales opportunities.

• Provide technical support to customers via telephone, email, and remote assistance.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Anton Paar instruments at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations (including ISO 17025 calibrations where required).
• Diagnose instrument malfunctions and prepare repair quotations and technical recommendations.
• Deliver customer training on the correct operation, maintenance, and best practices for Anton Paar instruments.
• Ensure all service activities, Support Tickets, and Service Orders are accurately documented and completed in the CRM Service system.
• Manage and maintain your personal spare parts inventory and company equipment.
• Identify opportunities for instrument upgrades, replacements, service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements, calibrations, and other service solutions, and actively communicate these opportunities to the Sales and Service teams to support business development and cross-selling.
• Participate in technical and product training and continuously develop expertise across the assigned product lines.
• Comply with Anton Paar quality, safety, and service standards.
• Travel extensively throughout Spain, with approximately 60% overnight travel.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent technical qualification and experience.
• 2-3 years of experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, or repairing analytical, laboratory, scientific, or similar electromechanical instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, electromechanical systems, instrumentation, and technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities.
• Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Intermediate English (spoken and written).
