A&O Shearman is an international law firm formed in 2024 by the merger of London-based Allen & Overy and New York-based Shearman & Sterling, advising corporates, financial institutions and governments on finance, capital markets, M&A, disputes, regulatory and tax matters. It operates nearly 50 offices in about 29 countries, with major hubs in London, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong and a large support centre in Belfast. It hires associates and lawyers across practice areas, trainees and interns, paralegals, and business services staff in IT, cyber defence, data engineering, finance, HR and marketing.
We are currently recruiting for an Associate to join our Tax team in London.

We encourage associates to remain generalists in the early stages of their careers and we have a structured training programme designed to develop first class legal and transaction handling skills. A career in our Taxation team can be highly challenging given the complexity and international dimensions to our work and a continuous emphasis on intellectual growth.
