Experienced technology leader with 10-15 years of expertise designing, developing, and hosting enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure. Proven track record in leading application modernization, cloud-native architecture, and high-performing engineering teams while delivering secure, scalable, and business-critical solutions. Strong background in full-stack development, Azure cloud services, DevOps, AI-enabled applications, and stakeholder management across complex enterprise environments.

What the day will look like
Key Responsibilities
Application Architecture & Technology Leadership
- Define and drive the application architecture strategy for enterprise-scale business applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable cloud-native solutions.
- Establish architecture standards, engineering principles, and development best practices across application teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and cloud services to accelerate delivery and business value.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept through production support.
Application Development & Modernization
- Lead multiple application development initiatives spanning web applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native platforms.
- Guide teams in developing modern applications using technologies such as .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and modern UI frameworks.
- Drive application modernization efforts including migration from legacy platforms to cloud-based architectures.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise requirements for scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and user experience.
Azure Cloud Strategy & Platform Engineering
- Architect, deploy, and govern applications hosted on Microsoft Azure or Google cloud
- Define cloud architecture patterns, networking, security, identity, observability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Partner with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and cloud governance requirements.
- Lead cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational excellence initiatives.
Engineering Management & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams.
- Manage technical project delivery, capacity planning, resource allocation, and engineering execution.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and technical assessments.
- Establish engineering KPIs and drive continuous improvement across development teams.
- Support hiring, succession planning, coaching, and performance management activities.
DevOps, Automation & Operational Excellence
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices and continuous delivery methodologies.
- Oversee CI/CD platform implementation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Ensure robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes are established.
- Lead root cause analysis for major production incidents and drive long-term remediation plans.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and delivery strategies.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architectural blueprints.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and technology investment decisions.
