Programme Manager
Description
We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to join the PMO function (Change Team), reporting to the relevant Portfolio Lead / Head of Practice.
This role is responsible for leading complex, business-critical programmes that deliver strategic change across the organisation and for our clients. You will provide overall programme leadership, coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams while ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements and risk management expectations.
A key focus of this role is the delivery ofInformation Security and Cyber Security initiatives.We are seeking someone with a strong and current understanding of security frameworks, standards, industry best practices and governance, who can effectively engage with technical and business stakeholders, challenge where appropriate, and ensure security considerations are embedded throughout the programme lifecycle.
You will be accountable for translating executive-level objectives into executable programme plans, managing dependencies across multiple teams, maintaining delivery momentum, and providing clear and transparent reporting to senior stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong leadership, sound judgement, commercial awareness, and the ability to navigate complex environments with confidence.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum5 years' experience operating as a Programme Manager,leading large-scale programmes comprising multiple projects and workstreams.
- Strong prior background inProject Management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex change initiatives.
- Significant experience deliveringInformation Security and/or Cyber Security programmes, with demonstrable knowledge of current security standards, frameworks and industry best practices.
- Ability to engage effectively with security, technology, risk, compliance and business teams, translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Proven experience managing programme-level governance, risks, dependencies, budgets and stakeholder communications.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders and build confidence in programme delivery.
- Experience working in fast-paced, complex environments with competing priorities and high levels of ambiguity.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches, with the judgement to apply the most appropriate methodology.
- Exceptional organisational, planning and communication skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience delivering change withinFinancial Services, Banking, Asset Management, Fund Administration, FinTech or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory, operational resilience, information security or cyber security requirements applicable to financial institutions.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation, integration, migration or onboarding programmes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project or similar portfolio and delivery management tools.
