Job Title: Software Architect, Fund Solutions
Location: Makati City
Role Summary
We are seeking a technically strong and product-mindedSoftware Architect to join our global engineering team within Apex Group. This role is focused on shaping the architecture ofproduct-oriented applications used by real users across the organization, while guiding the modernization of a diverse application landscape spanning bothlegacy and modern platforms.
The successful candidate will define architectural direction, support high-impact technical decisions, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions arescalable,maintainable, and aligned with business goals. This is amoderately hands-on role suited to someone who can combine strong architectural thinking with practical delivery experience across.NET backends,React andAngular frontends,SQL -backed systems, and modern cloud and DevOps practices.
You will work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders globally, reporting to the Head of DevOps based in Spain. The role is based in the Philippines, with flexibility to work overlapping hours with European teams when required.

What You Will Work With
C# and.NET/.NET Core for backend architecture, APIs, and application services.
React andAngular for modern frontend architecture and user-facing platforms.
SQL and data-driven application design across operational and product systems.
Azure,AWS,Docker,Terraform, and modern cloud infrastructure patterns where relevant.
Azure DevOps,CI/CD, engineering standards, release pipelines, and delivery practices.
Integration patterns, modernization roadmaps, and scalable application design across mixed technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Define and evolveapplication architecture for product-oriented systems across both legacy and modern platforms.
Leadintegration design and guide technical decisions across APIs, services, frontend applications, and data flows.
Drivemodernization initiatives that improve maintainability, scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.
Establish and promotearchitecture standards, design principles, and engineering best practices across teams.
Partner with engineering teams in design reviews, technical planning, and solution shaping to ensure delivery quality and architectural alignment.
Work closely with product, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into practical and sustainable technical solutions.
Contribute hands-on where needed through technical guidance, architecture reviews, prototyping, and support for complex implementation challenges.
Core Skills / Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience designing and evolving enterprise or product-focused applications.
Strong experience withC# and.NET/.NET Core for backend architecture, APIs, and application development.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture and delivery usingReact and/orAngular.
StrongSQL skills and a solid understanding of application data design, performance, and integration concerns.
Experience designingscalable,maintainable, andsecure distributed systems and application architectures.
Experience withREST APIs, application integration patterns, and service-oriented or microservices-based design approaches.
Familiarity withAzure DevOps,CI/CD pipelines, source control, and modern delivery practices.
Experience guiding teams through technical decisions, architecture reviews, and modernization efforts.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical direction clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with pragmatic delivery decisions.
Preferred / Valued Skills
Exposure to cloud platforms such asAzure and/orAWS.
Experience withDocker,Terraform, and infrastructure or platform automation practices.
Familiarity withDevOps practices, release management, environment strategy, and operational readiness.
Experience supporting mixed landscapes that include bothlegacy systems and modern application stacks.
Familiarity with automated testing strategies and quality engineering practices.
Exposure to Agile delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban.
Experience in financial services, regulated environments, or enterprise product ecosystems is an advantage.

Working Hours & Collaboration Expectations
This role is based in the Philippines.
Standard working hours will apply, with flexibility to provide overlap with European teams when required.
Daily collaboration with the Spain-based DevOps lead and global engineering teams.
Requires strong self-management, comfort with asynchronous collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team structure.
