A large Fintech company, and part of a large fintech group, in search of a Country Manager APAC / CEO (Fintech, PDL - Pay Day Loans), Philippines, Manila.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as CEO APAC / Country Manager at our online lending company in yhe Philippines.
About the Company
- Large international online lending platform operating in the payday loan (PDL) segment across Europe, India, Mexico and Philippines.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Chief Executive Officer, Operations/Executive Director, in the online lending or payday loan (PDL) business is required
- Demonstrated track record of managing teams and driving business growth within Philippines
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of short-term credit products, credit risk management, data management practices, and the monetization mechanics specific to the Philippine PDL market - including lead generation economics, approval rate optimization, repeat borrower lifecycle, and collection strategies
- Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive, working knowledge of the National Credit Acts, registration requirements, prescribed maximum interest and fee structures under the National Credit Regulations, affordability assessment obligations, and debt review processes.
- Excellent Market Knowledge - the Philippine market
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Establish and maintain relationships with local banking partners & Fintech companies (disbursement and collection rails), debit order providers, payment aggregators, and lead generation affiliates
- Regional Strategy: Develop and execute a market entry and growth strategy aligned with company objectives. Map the competitive landscape, identify underserved segments, and build expansion plans with clearly defined, approval rate, and portfolio yield targets
- Operational Management: Oversee end-to-end regional operations including customer acquisition, loan origination, credit assessment, disbursement, collections, and customer service. Ensure full compliance with obligations and registration conditions
- Monetization Management: Own the P&L for operation. Optimize revenue levers including pricing within regulatory caps, repeat loan conversion, and collections efficiency. Report against KPIs including portfolio NPL ratio, net revenue per loan, and 30/60/90-day arrears
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with central product, risk, and tech teams to localize the platform for the Philippine context. Maintain transparent reporting channels with group-level stakeholders
- Product Management: Drive local product adaptation - loan amounts, tenors, repayment structures - appropriate for the Philippine market, and manage delivery timelines with relevant team members
