Exciting Remote Contract Opportunity for an Experienced Project Coordinator with a Government Client in Winnipeg.

We’re thrilled to present a long-term remote contract opportunity for an experienced Project Coordinator to support a prominent Government client. This role begins with a 6-month term and has the potential to extend for up to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, attend, and actively participate in planning and collaboration meetings.
• Document key actions, decisions, and follow-ups from meetings.
• Support Project and Program Managers in preparing presentation materials and ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Execute project tasks as required.
• Maintain program management artifacts in alignment with established frameworks and methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to project frameworks, maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Provide administrative support for governance activities and prepare briefing materials for various management levels.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues in collaboration with Project and Program Managers.
• Plan, track, and manage project activities using collaboration tools.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation and identify tools required for project success.
• Assist in setting up tools and reviewing proposed methods for alignment with policies and procedures.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience:
  • At least 4 years as a Project Coordinator, preferably in a Public Sector environment.
  • Proven experience supporting large, diverse programs within established program management frameworks.
  • Expertise in tracking project/program budgets and schedules.
  • Skilled in preparing reporting and briefing materials.
• Skills:
  • Strong political acumen and interpersonal skills for maintaining relationships.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive thinker.
  • Team player with a track record of meeting deadlines for complex initiatives.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced user of collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with Project Management best practices.
• Preferred Assets:
  • Certification from a recognized project management body, such as PMI (Project Management Institute) or PRINCE2.
  • Public Sector experience is highly desirable.
