Junior Technician

Key Responsibilities

• • Pre-Operative Preparation:
    • Clean, fumigate, and sanitize the operation theatre before scheduled or emergency procedures.
    • Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and sterile trays on procedure trolleys.
    • Check the availability and basic functionality of lights, monitors, suction devices, and anesthesia equipment.
    • Assist with safe patient positioning and transfer under nursing supervision.
  • Intra-Operative Assistance:
    • Support the surgical and nursing teams during procedures as directed.
      • Pass basic instruments and handle surgical supplies when required.
      • Help maintain sterile conditions and a clean sterile field throughout the surgery.
      • Post-Operative Cleanup & Safety:
        • Transport patients safely to the recovery room.
        • Collect, clean, sterilize, and store surgical instruments.
        • Follow strict infection control protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and handle biomedical waste disposal as per hospital guidelines.
        • Maintain routine logs, inventory checks, and basic equipment records.
