UAT - Finance Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE

***[THIS IS A TEST JOB AND NOT AN ACTUAL VACANCY] *** We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and business performance analysis at n-Gen Tech. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights, improve reporting processes, and support informed business decisions.This role offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations within a growing technology-focused organisation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Good understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify variances.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Analyse operational costs, revenue trends, and profitability.
• Collaborate with departments to gather financial information and provide actionable insights.
• Support improvements to financial reporting and internal processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit requirements.
• Prepare financial dashboards and management reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Experience preparing management reports and financial forecasts.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools would be advantageous.
• Progress towards a professional finance qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA would be beneficial.
