Your mission as a Team Lead Research DACH (B2B Focus)
As Team Lead, you will play a key role in building, and guiding our newly dedicated B2B & Consultancies research team in the DACH region. This specialized unit is dedicated to projects that specifically survey B2B target groups, professional decision-makers, and niche business audiences (rather than standard B2C consumer panels), with a strong focus on fast-moving consultancy clients and corporate B2B requests. You will foster team development through market research expertise, operational rigor, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Your responsibilities include guiding and supporting our researchers in their quantitative B2B as well as some B2C research projects and helping them grow as researchers and as people. You will also advise and coach key consultancy and corporate clients through the entire market research process, from target feasibility and questionnaire design to results interpretation, acting as a senior sparring partner and inspiring clients with agile research and innovative methodologies.
Additionally, you will establish B2B research best practices and processes and collaborate closely with the international Research Leadership Team (e.g., UK, Spain, Americas) to establish DACH as the operational blueprint for global B2B expansion.
What you’ll be doing
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of smart and caring Researchers, upskilling them in B2B research, high-velocity execution, and confident client handling.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, honest feedback, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the team.
- Strategic & Blueprint Development:
- Establish standardized B2B feasibility routines, screening protocols, sampling strategies and pricing guardrails alongside commercial leaders to safeguard delivery speed and margin integrity.
- Collaborate with Research Leads from other countries & departments to share best practices and establish DACH as the scalable blueprint for international B2B rollouts.
- Build scalable, effortless processes to streamline high-velocity project management and cross-team collaboration.
- Client Engagement & Consultancy Advisory:
- Act as a senior sparring partner for fast-paced consultancy and corporate clients, advising on survey design, recruitment logic, and B2B sample feasibility for hard-to-reach targets.
- Interpret market research results to provide actionable, decision-ready recommendations and present insights to senior client stakeholders.
You will thrive in this role if
- You have extensive experience in quantitative market research with a distinct focus on surveying B2B target groups and professional decision-makers.
- You have hands-on experience designing studies, writing questionnaires, and executing quantitative projects across various B2B research projects including use cases like U&A, Pricing studies, Concept Testing, Target Group Analysis.
- You bring a strategic and commercially minded approach, translating complex B2B insights into business impact for fast-moving consultancy and enterprise clients.
- You have extensive leadership experience with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, particularly in significant turnaround or fast scale-up environments
- You communicate confidently, clearly, and transparently in both German (C2 level required) and English, facilitating seamless interactions across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to set up scalable frameworks, guardrails, and operational processes from the ground up.
- You have a cooperative, resilient, and caring attitude.
