As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead advanced packaging process engagements with China based customers, establishing trusted technical partnerships and translating customer requirements into FabVantage value added solutions

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve high value process and/or integration issues using FabVantage methodologies, advanced data analytics, and AI enabled tools (JMP, FSS, AIx)

  • Define and implement best practices for advanced packaging modules, enabling service opportunities in support of AGS sales initiatives

  • Drive knowledge capture by documenting findings, writing technical reports, and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders and customers

  • Utilize techniques, define methods, and apply new technologies to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on complex systems

  • Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects, within safety guidelines

  • Communicate and engage with customers to resolve a broad spectrum of complex process engineering issues, with limited supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years or above of experience in the semiconductor or packaging industry.
  • Hands-on experience in advanced packaging process strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in complex problem solving

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Familiar with semiconductor backend and packaging processes, expertise in CMP and/or Etch would be plus, knowledge on HBM, 2.5D/3D pkg, and high-density interconnects strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, DOE, and statistical analysis tools (such as JMP & Applied Pro); experience with AIx databases and digital FabVantage platforms preferred
  • Proven ability to solve complex process problems, perform rigorous root cause analysis, and deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Excellent communication and technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in customer-facing, cross-functional environments with measurable business impact
