Position Overview

We’re searching for a Data Architect to join our Engineering EZL team in Bengaluru location. To keep us headed in the right direction, we’re looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team’s diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.

Required Skills:

- Deep knowledge of the SQL language, data modeling and database performance tuning.

- Experience designing and building large Cloud-ready highly scalable and distributed software.

- Understanding of relational, No-SQL and columnar structures.

- SQL Server 2019 and higher.

- Database optimization tools (i.e. SQL Compass, SolarWinds)

- Some experience in Google Cloud Platform: GKE, Pub Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Big Query & Looker would be an advantage.

- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (i.e. SSIS, Dataflow)

- Familiarity with reporting tools (i.e. SSRS, Looker)

- Strong understanding of modern information security design and best practices.

- Engage with business and technology leaders to understand current operations and processes as a foundation for designing robust database architectures.

- Evaluate existing applications, identify areas of improvement, and propose alternative solutions.

- Leverage emerging technologies to ensure products are continuously positioned to maximize business value.

- Work collaboratively with software development teams and third-party vendors.

- Drive data pipeline architecture strategies by leading discussions with the business and the development teams.

- Perform design and code reviews for development teams.

- Monitor database performance statistics and recommend improvements.

- Mentor other database engineers in database design and optimization.

- Participate in technology evaluation, prototyping, security, and internal audits.

- Effectively multitask between several different projects.

What You’ll Do

- Demonstrates a passion for producing quality solutions.

- Is adept at working in a collaborative environment within an Agile team.

- Can clearly articulate thoughts and communicate in both technical and business terms.

- Has at least 10 years of practical experience in database architecture and administration.

- Can interface with varied positions and levels of technical knowledge both within the department and with other departments inside and outside the company.

- Candidates should have a history of delivering high performance, high availability, efficient and scalable systems.

- Has experience architecting enterprise cloud-native data pipelines.

- Is familiar with both structured and unstructured data.

- Possesses a BTech/BE/MTech/MCA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.

- Has at least 12+ years of experience.
