RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports (Looker Studio & Power BI) that turn raw platform data into clear, actionable insights for business and marketing stakeholders.
Partner with Data Engineering to migrate and validate dashboard data models through the GCP-to-Azure/Snowflake migration, ensuring metric parity and no regression in reporting accuracy.
Perform exploratory data analysis across BigQuery/Snowflake datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities the business isn’t already looking at.
Write and optimize SQL across BigQuery and Snowflake, and build/maintain dbt models to support scalable, governed data marts.
Collaborate on Dagster-orchestrated data pipelines - understanding lineage and dependencies well enough to troubleshoot issues and contribute to data model design, not just consume the output.
Explore and prototype agentic AI and data science solutions (e.g., LLM-powered analysis, automated insight generation, predictive/propensity modeling) to accelerate how the team surfaces and acts on data.
Apply data governance principles in day-to-day work: support privacy and retention deletion workflows (OneTrust), and ensure PII is handled correctly across CRM/MarTech data integrations (Customer.io, Twilio Segment).
Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle - requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard build, validation, and stakeholder walkthroughs.
Identify data quality issues and partner with Data Engineering to resolve root causes rather than patching symptoms downstream.
Stay current on BI and analytics tooling and proactively recommend improvements to the platform’s reporting stack.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a hybrid analytics engineering role.
Strong SQL skills across BigQuery and/or Snowflake - comfortable with complex queries, CTEs, and window functions.
Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Looker Studio and/or Power BI.
Working knowledge of dbt for data modeling and transformation.
Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools - Dagster preferred, Airflow or similar also acceptable.
Understanding of data governance and privacy compliance concepts, ideally with exposure to OneTrust or a similar consent/privacy management platform.
Experience working with CRM/MarTech data sources such as Customer.io, Twilio Segment, or comparable CDP/ESP platforms.
Some hands-on data engineering skills (Python, pipeline debugging, schema design) are a strong plus - you don’t need to be a full-time data engineer, but you should be comfortable enough to partner closely with one.
Excellent communication skills - able to translate data findings into business insight for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting a cloud data migration (GCP, Azure, or AWS) is a plus.
A curious, insight-first mindset - comfortable going beyond “build the dashboard that was asked for” to proactively surface what the data is actually saying.
