Associate Digital Skills Trainer

Apprentify Group

Associate / contract opportunities | Predominantly virtual evening delivery | Group-wide talent pool

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Apprentify Group is expanding its network of Associate Digital Skills Trainers to support current and future delivery across the Group. The associate trainer pool will be managed by Netcom, our adult skills training business, with opportunities offered according to subject expertise, availability and programme requirements.

This is an ongoing opportunity rather than recruitment for one fixed vacancy. Successful candidates will join our associate trainer pool and may be offered individual delivery contracts of varying value, scope and duration as suitable programmes become available.

Most current opportunities are expected to involve virtual evening delivery. Some face-to-face delivery opportunities may also arise, but face-to-face availability is not essential.

AREAS OF INTEREST

We are particularly interested in associate trainers with occupational expertise or delivery experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • IT Support

  • Cyber Security

  • Data and Data Analysis

  • Social Media and Web Design

  • Digital Support

  • Artificial Intelligence and emerging digital technologies

  • Other related digital and technology specialisms

You do not need to deliver across every area. We want to understand where you have genuine subject expertise and match opportunities appropriately.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Deliver engaging training against the agreed curriculum, timetable and programme requirements

  • Create an inclusive, supportive and professional learning environment

  • Use practical activities and relevant industry examples to make technical learning accessible

  • Monitor learner engagement and progress and identify where additional support or escalation may be needed

  • Maintain accurate registers and complete required delivery records and documentation

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to learners

  • Work collaboratively with delivery, quality and learner-facing colleagues across the Apprentify Group

  • Complete programme induction and familiarisation before commencing delivery

  • Maintain current occupational and subject knowledge

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong occupational knowledge or practical experience in at least one relevant digital or technology specialism

  • Experience of training, teaching, coaching, mentoring or developing others

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to learners with different levels of prior knowledge

  • Confidence engaging and supporting adult learners

  • Ability to work independently while following an agreed curriculum and delivery model

  • Strong organisation, communication and reliability

  • Confidence using digital platforms and delivering learning remotely

  • Commitment to inclusive practice, professional boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous delivery within adult skills, further education, employability or funded training

  • A recognised teaching or training qualification

  • Relevant industry, professional or vendor certifications

  • Experience delivering regulated qualifications

  • Experience of assessment or providing structured learner feedback

  • Experience delivering through Microsoft Teams or similar virtual-learning platforms

  • Experience supporting learners with different starting points or additional support needs

  • Current industry practice within the relevant specialist area

HOW ASSOCIATE DELIVERY WORKS

  • Applications are welcomed on an ongoing basis as we continue to grow the associate trainer pool

  • Successful applicants complete an interview, relevant checks and onboarding before joining the pool

  • Assignments are offered according to curriculum requirements, relevant expertise, availability, dates, times and delivery location

  • Most current opportunities are expected to involve virtual evening delivery, although patterns will vary by programme

  • Face-to-face delivery opportunities may be offered where required

  • Each assignment is agreed separately, including programme details, timetable, responsibilities and contract value

  • Joining the associate pool does not guarantee a minimum volume of work

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Making complex subjects understandable

  • Engaging rather than passive delivery

  • Dependability and clear communication

  • Early identification of risks or issues

  • Openness to feedback and quality improvement

  • A genuine commitment to helping learners succeed

Please note: The postholder will be required to undergo Safer Recruitment check prior to starting work, including an appropriate level of DBS check (dependent on role) and a reference check.
