Full Stack Engineer

The position is ideal for mid-level engineers who possess advanced expertise in cross-platform mobile architectures, robust Node.js APIs, and scalable database designs. This is an impactful role where you will take ownership of entire features, mentor junior developers, and bridge the gap between seamless mobile user experiences and powerful backend services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Build, scale, and maintain secure backend APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express.js .
• Design efficient database schemas and optimise queries in MongoDB.
• Implement state management architectures using Redux Toolkit or Context API.
• Integrate third-party APIs, push notifications, and payment gateways into mobile apps.
• Collaboratively design system architectures with senior engineers to ensure high availability.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high quality and enforce team coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance bottlenecks across the mobile client and backend stack.
• Lead technical spikes and contribute heavily to feature scoping and technical planning.
• Partner closely with Product, UX/UI Design, and QA teams to deliver robust features.
• Drive agile ceremonies and sprint planning and accurately estimate engineering efforts.
• Proactively identify technical debt and propose structured refactoring initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of professional full-stack and mobile application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building production-ready backends using Node.js and Express.js .
• Deep understanding of MongoDB, indexing, and aggregation pipelines.
• Proven track record of publishing apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Expert knowledge of RESTful API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth), and security best practices.
• Advanced experience with Git workflows, branching strategies, and collaborative code management.
• Exceptional debugging skills using tools like React Native Debugger and Chrome DevTools.
• Experience with React for web-based full-stack dashboards.
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL for hybrid data needs.

Nice to Have:

• Mastery of testing frameworks such as Jest, Detox, and Mocha.
• Expertise in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) bridge development.
• Hands-on exposure to AWS services (EC2 S3 Lambda) and Docker containerisation.
• Implementation knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with real-time communication tools like WebSockets or Socket.io .
• Strong mentorship skills and interest in guiding SDE-1 engineers.
