The Role:
Apryse is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Transformation to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives that drive meaningful business outcomes across the organization. This is not a traditional PMO role and not a technical Business Systems role. We are looking for a senior, hands-on transformation leader who can take a business problem once the direction and desired outcomes are aligned, and independently drive execution through completion.
This individual will own multiple high-impact programs simultaneously, create structure where it does not yet exist, connect business and technical workstreams, maintain a reliable source of truth, proactively surface risks and decisions, and keep initiatives moving forward with minimal oversight. Initially leading a small team, this is a true player-coach role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives from problem definition through execution and adoption.
- Independently organize and drive workstreams, dependencies, decisions, risks, and stakeholder alignment in ambiguous environments.
- Establish program structures, governance models, operating cadences, and execution frameworks where none currently exist.
- Bridge business and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities, requirements, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, RAID logs, decision logs, ownership matrices, and executive reporting.
- Facilitate working sessions, drive decision-making, and ensure accountability across multiple functional teams.
- Partner directly with senior leaders, VPs, and executive stakeholders to communicate progress, escalate risks, and resolve roadblocks.
- Support user acceptance testing, readiness planning, business enablement, and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of change.
- Personally contribute to project planning, documentation, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and execution activities as needed.
- Coach and mentor project management and business analysis team members, helping establish strong execution discipline and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, vendors, and implementation partners to drive transformation outcomes.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience leading complex business transformation, program management, operational excellence, or strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to independently lead large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Strong business problem-solving skills with the ability to distinguish root causes, business requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Experience designing and improving business processes and operating models to support future-state outcomes.
- Excellent program and project management discipline, including management of plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership teams.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and drive alignment.
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on leader who is equally willing to build project plans, facilitate workshops, analyze issues, and drive execution.
- Experience managing, mentoring, or coaching project managers and business analysts.
- Strong understanding of CRM, SaaS, data, integration, and enterprise systems environments, with the ability to work effectively alongside technical teams and solution architects.
- Highly organized, execution-focused, and able to manage multiple concurrent programs and priorities.
Nice To Haves:
- Experience leading post-acquisition integrations, carve-outs, or broader M&A and operational integration initiatives.
- PMO creation and operating model experience, including establishing governance frameworks, portfolio management processes, templates, and execution standards.
- Background in data analytics, process analytics, or KPI-driven transformation programs.
- Experience working within private equity-backed, high-growth, or rapidly changing software organizations.
- Vendor, consultant, and implementation partner management experience.
- Change management, organizational readiness, and business adoption experience.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and ecosystems such as CRM, ERP, business systems, integrations, and workflow automation tools.
