Painter/Polisher - for 4 and 5 Star Hotels in Europe

Our client, an award-winning hotel group in Cyprus, is seeking experienced and skilled Painters / Polishers to join their team and contribute to maintaining the high standards of their prestigious properties.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance and condition of hotel interiors, public areas, guest rooms, back-of-house areas, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces. The role requires strong attention to detail, a high standard of workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining the quality standards expected in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, repainting, touch-ups, and decorative finishing throughout the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, filling, priming, and minor repairs.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishing products as required.
• Polish and refinish wooden furniture, doors, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Repair and restore damaged or worn painted and polished surfaces.
• Maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and other hotel facilities.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship while minimizing disruption to guests and hotel operations.
• Safely use and maintain painting, polishing, and maintenance tools and equipment.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and properly store tools and materials.
• Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team and report defects or maintenance issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Engineering or Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter, Polisher, or Maintenance Painter, preferably within hotels, resorts, facilities management companies, large commercial properties, or similar technical environments.
• Technical or vocational training/certification in Painting, Decorating, Carpentry, or a related trade.
• Previous experience in 4- or 5-star hotels is highly advantageous.
• Good knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and decorative finishes.
• Practical experience with furniture and wood polishing/refinishing is an advantage.
• Ability to work with different types of paints, varnishes, stains, lacquers, and finishing materials.
• Ability to identify surface defects and carry out appropriate repairs and preparation.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to relocate and work in Cyprus if selected.
