Customer Tech Lead

We're looking for a Customer Technical Lead, AI to join us, onsite, in Alpharetta, GA. You'll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the Role

The Customer Technical Lead, AI owns the technical testing and deployment of Aptean's AI agents for customers post-sale, ensuring solutions are built, validated, and launched exactly as scoped in the Agent Blueprint. You are the hands-on technical owner during implementation, working closely with Solutions Consulting on handoff and with the Customer Success Manager to ensure a clean transition into adoption once the agent goes live.

In this role, you will:

• Own the technical testing and deployment of AI agents for assigned customer accounts, from blueprint handoff through go-live
• Validate agent configurations, integrations, and tool connections against the Agent Blueprint and customer requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during build, testing, and deployment
• Partner with Solutions Consultants during sales-to-delivery handoff to fully understand the scoped solution and customer expectations
• Coordinate with product and engineering teams to escalate and resolve platform-level issues affecting deployment
• Conduct structured testing cycles, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, prior to go-live
• Document deployment steps, configurations, and known issues to support ongoing supportability of the solution
• Partner with the Customer Success Manager to ensure a smooth handoff at go-live, transferring technical context needed for post-launch adoption, expansion, and renewal conversations
• Serve as a technical escalation point for issues that surface shortly after go-live

About You

You are a technically sharp, detail-oriented professional who thrives on getting a solution right before it reaches the customer's hands. You're comfortable owning the testing and deployment process end to end, and you take pride in a clean, well-documented handoff. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you're motivated by solving problems quickly and thoroughly rather than letting issues linger. You work well across teams, moving fluidly between Solutions Consulting, engineering, and Customer Success to keep a deployment on track.

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

• Experience in a technical implementation, deployment, or solutions engineering role, ideally within ERP, SaaS, or enterprise software
• Working knowledge of AI agents and Large Language Models, including how agents are designed, orchestrated, and deployed
• Familiarity with APIs and how AI systems integrate with enterprise platforms
• Understanding of SQL for data querying and agent tool design
• Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers or similar agent-tool integration frameworks
• Experience with structured testing methodologies (functional, integration, UAT)
• Awareness of agent observability and reliability practices, including monitoring, logging, and production agent quality
• Strong documentation habits and experience producing deployment or handoff artifacts
