Your Role
As a Software Engineering Intern on the SantAna team, you will support the development of low-level software solutions for embedded systems environments. You will work on technologies related to operating systems, kernel concepts, and embedded Linux platforms while collaborating with experienced engineers on system-level development projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Support software development activities in embedded Linux and Unix environments.
- Contribute to low-level software design, implementation, and debugging efforts.
- Work with operating system and kernel-related concepts.
- Assist with system-level software development and testing activities.
- Analyze technical specifications and hardware-related documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and validate embedded software solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities involving system software components.
- Gain exposure to operating systems, memory management, CPU architecture, and related low-level technologies.
Your Background
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in embedded systems and low-level software development.
- Knowledge of C programming.
- Familiarity with Linux or Unix environments.
- Coursework in Operating Systems and Kernel-related topics.
- Understanding of concepts such as memory management, CPU architecture, and system software fundamentals.
- Interest in learning how software interacts directly with hardware.
- Experience with embedded systems projects is a plus.
