About Aquila Nova: Aquila Nova Private Limited provides marine and offshore technology solutions, including vessel monitoring, thermal imaging and data platforms, for customers in Singapore and the region. About the role: Design, programme, commission and support PLC-based automation and control systems for marine, offshore and industrial customers, including Octologic deployments and Piriou automation work. Reports to the Platform Lead and works closely with the Managing Director and the Product and Solutions Designer. Responsibilities: - Design control logic and PLC/HMI programmes for marine and industrial automation projects, to agreed specifications - Programme PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley or equivalent) and configure HMIs and SCADA screens - Integrate control systems with sensors, alarms, marine monitors and networks, including Beijer HMI and monitoring hardware - Prepare technical proposals, scope of work, architecture and I/O documents for quotations - Carry out FAT, SAT and commissioning, with signed test records - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems, including remote support where possible - Record designs, test results and changes in Odoo so the work can be traced, consistent with the ISO process - Support Octologic vessel monitoring and navigation safety product lines with control and integration input - Work with the sales team on technical answers and quotations for customers Requirements: - Diploma or degree in electrical and electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, instrumentation or control engineering - At least 1 to 4 years of hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience, preferably in marine, offshore or industrial automation - Working knowledge of at least one major PLC platform and its programming software, and of SCADA or HMI software - Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP or CAN bus - Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams - Willingness to travel to customer sites and vessels in Singapore and the region, sometimes at short notice - Familiarity with marine electrical standards, classification society rules, or ISO 9001 documentation is an advantage - Clear written and spoken English, able to write technical reports and test records - Valid driving licence is an advantage - Eligible to work in Singapore Salary: Monthly salary S$4,000 to S$5,500, plus transport allowance, annual wage supplement and performance-based bonus. Location: 73 Ubi Road 1, #08-63 Oxley Bizhub, Singapore 408733, with site work on vessels and customer sites as required. Selection: practical test on ladder logic and Modbus configuration at interview.
